Do I need to be an athlete to participate?
Not at all! The activities are suitable for everybody and can be done within all levels of fitness. Even if you do not want to participate in an activity that’s fine. Then your focus will be on taking beautiful photos of others and the beautiful surroundings.
Who is organising the Outdoor Photography Experience?
The Experience is the collaboration between professional photographer Martin Hogeboom and Activ8You and Costamundo, two companies in Spain. Activ8You organizes activities, summer camps and package holidays on the Costa Tropical. Costamundo is a production company of a filmmaker who has worked with a camera in over 60 countries and now works on photography and video projects in and from Spain.
What can I expect of the program?
Well, we can make the program fit your wishes and expectations! Duration, amount of people, more focus on activities, or more focus on photography, whatever you prefer.
Of course, the basic idea is that we use outdoor activities to enjoy the nature and surrounding. And we use these activities for masterclasses in photography. Usually we spend the mornings doing one activity and a creative masterclass. Then we have lunch and in the afternoons we do another one. You will take many photos so after returning to the hotel you will have time to select and retouch these. During and after dinner we will show each other the results and talk about them.
What can I learn during the Outdoor Photography Experience?
Our masterclasses focus on creativity, rather than technicalities. Everything you learn is about improving and enjoying photography. You can learn to photograph in and around water or in a dark cave. Short workshops about lenses, equipment, selecting and retouching images are also possible.
